There is also an Overall for each Category. For Category 2 and Category 3 this is for reference to see how you did among all the age groups.

• 8:30 A.M. - Registration and Transition Closes

*****Below is your starting order. The first start time for each category is at the top of the page. You need to be in Staging 5 Minutes BEFORE THIS TIME! 

******If you are late to your start time, the clock starts and you will be sent to the back of your Category. That means the clock will be ticking but you will have to wait until all the riders in your category leave on their respective time. Be respectful, be responsible and be in line ready to go.

Event Day Information

We will be posting adding updates as our event gets closer, so check back often.

TIMETRIAL:The start time for the time trial has been pushed back to 1:00 pm with staging at 12:45p Due to the number of registrants participating in the long course, we need to insure all duo participants are off the course before the Time Trial begins.

Starting order and times will be posted here Friday evening and updated Saturday evening with any late registrations. There will be times posted at registration as well. Please find your starting time and be ready to go. We will be leaving in 30 sec. increments and if you miss your time...the clock is still ticking. Make sure you are at the staging area in plenty of time.

DUO SHORT COURSE-LONG COURSE-TEAMS:Start time is 9 a.m.  Have your bike in transition prior to 8:30 a.m. We will have a meeting at 8:30 a.m. near the registration tent. Please make sure you are present.

PARKING: parking is limited in the lower parking lot at the race site. When this is full please park at the Visitors center. They have plenty of parking and it is a short distance down the level. DO NOT PARK IN SURROUNDING NEIGHBORHOODS You will be subject to parking tickets. We are not responsible if you choose to park in the neighborhood and you get a ticket. See below map.

FOOD: The Truck Stop will be serving delicious food all day! They will also have coffee and Hot Cocoa. Below is there race day menu.

There will be Packet Pick up available Race Day beginning at 7:00 a. m. It is recommended to pick up your race packet prior to Race Day to insure you have plenty of time.

***All MTB Time Trial Registrations received after Midnight Wednesday March 19th will have a starting time at the end of the line.
All Pre-Registered riders will be given their start times in their packets and will be posted on the website Thursday evening.

God's Country Course Maps

Parking is limited at the Lawrence River Trails trail head.  See map below for parking options.

Course maps for the 2014 God's Country Fat Tire Festival  are below. 

• Run course is ~ 2 miles in length.  
• The duathlon starts on the levee and then enters the run course.
• Runners will proceed in a counter clockwise direction
• Short course will complete one 2 mile loop
• Long course will complete a 2 mile loop and then complete an additional loop after their bike leg.

• Bike course is ~ 10 miles in length
• Cyclist will proceed in a clockwise direction
• Short course will complete 1 full lap
• Long course will complete 2 full laps
• Mountain Bike Time Trial will complete 1 full lap

Registration for the Off-Road Duathlon is nearing capacity. If you have been hesitant to register, wait no more. 25 more spots are available (for the duathlon) and after that you will have to wait until 2015 to experience the fun and festivities of God's Country Fat Tire Festival.

Work Day at the River Trails

The Lawrence Mountain Bike Club is having a work day this Saturday to help get the trails in shape for our upcoming big event.

The Lawrence River Trail
8th & Oak, North Lawrence

It is time to get the dirt ready for another season.

We have several volunteers who agreed to lead the work crews.
Each crew is going to take one or two severely damaged areas and
make major repairs to that part of the trail.
This may involve slight changes and regrading or in some cases complete reroutes.
We will also be doing a general cleanup and brushing of the entire trail.

We need everyone to come out on the 15th.

We will meet at 9:00 at the trailhead.
Plan to work 'til noon.

God's Country News Shorts 03/04/14

4 reasons to register soon:

1. We are up to 185 entries with a cap at 200.  Only 15 entries left. Once the cap is reached registration will be closed.
2. T-shirt guarantee deadline is 3/7/14.
3. Fees increase after 3/19/14.
4. Riders will start the MTB race in order of registration.  

Volunteers are always needed and appreciated.  God's Country would not be possible without their help.  Volunteers can earn free race entry (free entry can be used at another event), an event t-shirt, lunch and the opportunity to help make an event happen.
